This was one of Twista's first albums and definitely was the album that put him on the mainstream scene. The album remained popular for numerous years, and thus Twista created a follow up to this album in 2007, commemorating 10 years since the original album was released in 1997. Adrenaline Rush was also an album that many went back and listened to after they heard more popular songs by Twista on the radio, like 'Slow Jamz' and 'Overnight Celebrity'. Even though it has been 16 years since its release, Adrenaline Rush still is an album that I listen to frequently. It has certain timeless hits that I would put in my top Hip Hop songs of all time category. The song the album is titled after, 'Adrenaline Rush' is my favorite song, with a catchy chorus and very entertaining beat. Even though I like almost every song on the album a great deal, I find myself coming back and listening to a few tracks on this album over and over, and more often than the others. Those tracks, in addition to Track 2 'Adrenaline Rush', are 'Emotions (Remix)', 'Get It Wet', and 'It Feels So Good'. I would definitely recommend this album for fans of Twista and even those who are fans of Hip Hop in general.

Adrenaline Rush is the third studio album by rapper Twista, released on June 24, 1997. It was his second album nationally released, after his previous effort Resurrection was shelved outside of Chicago. The album had guest artists: Johnny P, Liffy Stokes, Miss Kane, Malif, Mayz and Turtle Banks. The first single off the album was 'Emotions', a song which reworked the chorus of the Do or Die hit 'Po Pimp' (on which Twista was featured). The single 'Get It Wet' charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 96. With very little airplay or radio play outside the midwest, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on July 15, 2019.
